Great outing in a secluded nature setting. Called stables on short notice, they accommodated us (family of 5) on a 2 hour ride, with about 1 hour notice as our prior plans cancelled.Nice looking horses, great guides, family operated, simple easy trails to take you away from the bustle. Thank you for hosting us!!

"What a GREAT morning and way to see the mountain. We just completed a 2 hour ride and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The horses were trained and taken care of and the staff was a friendly and hospitable as can be. They have horses for everyone riders experience level. My cousin doesn't have much experience and I do and they matched us with horses that fit our levels. Highly recommend spending time with Alpine Meadows Stables. I will definitely do it again on my next trip to Lake Tahoe. Thank you Amanda and team for a fun and memorable experience!

"We had a blast at Alpine Meadows Stables for our first horseback rides! We did a private ride with just my sons and I, and Nadia, the guide. The ride was really fun in the beautiful alpine forest, up and down a few hills, through a couple of creeks, mostly in the shade on a beautiful day. Nadia was very thorough in her instructions and was super friendly and professional. The horses were awesome! Mister - the owner/manager was also very helpful and friendly, both on the phone when I reserved and when we arrived. Don't forget to bring your cash - they don't take cards. Highly recommend this wonderful experience."

"We had a fantastic experience here, decided to come back the next day for more! They have $10 pony rides, the parents get to lead the kids around this beautiful little trail, it takes 15 to 20 minutes. Parents need to wear comfortable shoes. Our kids were so much more comfortable and had so much more fun because we got to go with them. Loved it!"

"Our group of 7 had an amazing time! We chose to do the 2 hour ride and it was absolutely gorgeous. We had two tour guides, Emily & Nadia who really made the adventure special. They had great information and were absolutely a joy to talk to. At one point there was a fallen tree on the trail and the two of them swiftly cleared it and we were on our way.We definitely will be back!"
